Adamas International School (AIS) proudly hosted the Annual Felicitation Ceremony on 16th July 2017, Sunday, at 4pm, to recognise and award all students of AIS who have excelled in ICSE & ISC examinations for the session 2016-2017. AIS students have been setting records in the last many years, ever since inception in 2004, with more than 75% students securing 80% and above marks each year in their board exams.
Statistics suggest that when few students of a school perform brilliantly, specific private tutors, home atmosphere or the students merit plays a big role in the performance. However when most of the students perform brilliantly the school has a key role to play in the performance.
This academic session, Adamas International School students have set an exemplary record in ICSE 2017 with 106 students scoring more than 90%, 79 students scoring between 80-89%, and 64 students between 70-79%, proving yet again, that the pedagogy adopted by the school is starkly different from the other institutions.
Other than this Ankur Roy Chowdhury of Class X has ranked 4th in ICSE all over India and 2nd in West Bengal with 98.8% and Arnab Jana of Class XII has ranked 5th in WBJEE 2017 and AIR- 528 in JEE Advanced.
As a special initiative in order to recognise the achievement and extend help in their higher studies Sachis Kiran Roy Memorial Trust (SKRMT) will be giving scholarships and funding the higher studies of select few top students of ISC & ICSE 2017.
The very foundation of the school has been meticulously laid under the direct guidance of Prof. Samit Ray, Chairman, Adamas International School, and the Chancellor of Adamas University and also under the guidance of the Education Director Mrs. Mallika Roy & the Principal AIS Mrs. MittraSinha Roy. A need for an academic institution to nurture young talents with state-of-the-art facilities and develop the skills to face the challenges of modern society initiated the Trust to set up AIS (affiliated to ICSE, ISC and Cambridge International Primary Programme).
